Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgård, Thomas Jane and Saffron Burrows star in this thriller as the employees and scientists of an underwater research center that seeks a cure for Alzheimer's disease through experiments on sharks. Now considered a favorite cult film.

Deep Blue Sea is overall a bit of a silly shark film, but it’s a really fun one with lots of action sequences.

Despite the questionable fish visuals, several of the shark attack scenes are quite thrilling - utilizing suspense, comedy, nail-biting timing, and slimy animatronics.
